Vat is one of the fairest taxes. It autoselects for people that have cash paying more tax. If you don't have cash you can't buy things and therefore don't pay tax either. So this is a move that favours those who buy lots of things: ie rich people.
Scrapping VAT is part of an economic policy to support business to grow and create jobs. Much better to simplify income tax to a flat rate no exemptions exceptions or 'arrangements'. Added bonus of a hugely simplified HMRC and consequently lower cost to the taxpayer

Gove is not the right person to lead the country. He led the fraudulent leave campaign, and he took cocaine knowingly, a Class A drug. Can he lead the party of law and order? That would be rank hypocrisy.

I don't understand how you can confess to a 20 year old crime on TV and not get instantly prosecuted? What crimes are OK if they are 20 years old and what ones aren't, murder? Suppose the law applies differently if you are would be tory leader
