I agree. Great to hear minister Therese Coffey update is on important work that the Govt is doing as part of food waste and waste strategy. I will keep a close interest in this as it’s something that my #Redditch constituents raise with me a lot.
With consumers doing much more to reduce their use of plastic its frustrating that supermarkets use too much non recyclable plastic to wrap especially fresh food. They need to do more to introduce #plasticfree aisles. #planetearthpic.twitter.com/zBdns6uM1k

why not have paper bags ready for customers to put their veg in instead of a roll of plastic bags that not only make the veg go bad quickly but defeats the whole object?
