Can't believe you don't see a link between the PMs speech last night, whipping the public into a frenzy against MPs & the result this morning. This is a problem when the PM is not behaving responsibly and you just keep supporting the behaviour that keeps promoting the reaction.

I blame prime ministers who stand in front of tv cameras and deliver rabblerousing, deluded speeches.

Theresa May has surrounded her head with so much political confetti that she has blinded herself to the reality of public office. She cannot see what she herself has created, she cannot even comprehend the benefit of a consensus/inclusive Westminster.

Politics has become poisonous, there was a time when most ordinary people kept their political views private but I guess social media has changed that. It has also given a platform to people who want to vent anger as they are otherwise ignored by the political classes

Agree! My posts are civil but I’m afraid the lies and deceit are the reason why people have become more angry! Some MP’s need to have a good long look at their behaviour and recognise they cannot revolt against democracy! It’s the one stabilising thing we have so respect it!

MPs should only have a constituents twitter feeds. They have thousands of followers that’s making them believe they are right, but they are not their constituents. MPs are now the biggest joke ever. GE now. We voted to leave get on with it.

We must remain civil, but civility comes in many forms. I remember one polite old gent chastising a youth for swearing, as cancerous fumes from his pipe choked the lad. Who was more foul mouthed? Ignoring vital evidence is uncivil. We are now 66% remain. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-second-referendum-deal-opinion-poll-theresa-may-a8831241.html?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1553084067 …

I totally agree. There are polite ways to disagree and criticise each other - without needing to insult one another, especially on a personal level.
