What makes me angry is the instant retreat to this old trope. I don’t think your constituents are stupid. I do think we were all misled and misinformed. There was no plan for Brexit, just an emotional appeal. Now we have information and a plan we are in a better position to votehttps://twitter.com/redditchrachel/status/1101134288815353857 …

And yet all evidence (Electoral Commission) indicates that illegal spending in 48 hours before the vote almost certainly won vote for Leave. Only reason ballot wasn't annulled by the High Court is that the referendum was only advisory and the government can choose to ignore it.

Unless you ask all 17.4 million of them, you really shouldn’t be passing off a statement like “majority”. I have 6 leavers in my close family. All voted for different things. All of them cite reasons promised by the campaigns about cake and eat it, easy trade, money for nhs etc

Desire for something doesn't mean it's best for you and that goes for many things. Will the Government not campaign in the event of a public vote then? Seeing as though vote leavers didn't base their vote on the previous campaign. Does that also go for you as you voted remain?

They do not accept your premise that they were lied to, fair point but have you asked them all? And can I see your evidence base please?

How do you know? Did you personally ask them all?

It was only necessary for a minority to be swayed by the lies.

So you can read the minds of a majority of 17.4 million voters? And does the the fact that they don’t accept they were lied to mean they weren’t lied to? Is this the best you can do?

My racist grandad voted to send his Pakistani neighbour 'home'. I'm interested in how you will 'respect' what he voted for. Btw his neighbour was born in Dudley.

Rachel, when you voted, did you know there would be a general election?
