It doesn’t matter how many times @jeremycorbyn or others ask me to back it, I don’t. I know that I represent the vast majority of my constituents views, who tell me that they have not changed their minds.https://redditchstandard.co.uk/news/redditch-mp-rachel-maclean-says-no-to-the-idea-of-a-second-referendum/ …

The thing that makes me particularly angry is the suggestion from many in London and elsewhere in the country that my constituents “didn’t know what they were voting for” or were “misled by the side of a bus” Do they think that my constituents are stupid?

Here’s the thing. I think you’ve got a problem with your sample. I’ll bet the majority of people you talk to come to you because they are Tory leavers who were wrong then and wrong now. Please share with us the methodology that supports these statements.

Agree with you Emma. I am also a Redditch constituent and this is such a sweeping statement. Feels like @redditchrachel is drumming up more fear

I don’t believe anyone is saying your constituents are stupid (I am one of them albeit remain). They are simply saying we didn’t have the facts to make an informed decision. Now we do. It’s a clearer choice

In the spirit of informed choice, the govt must do another leaflet to all households (irrespective of cost, like last time), & inform voters of how the EU that exists now, is not the EU planned for the future. Maybe they could give us all a copy of the Lisbon Treaty to read?

Not that voters are stupid, but that we now know that leaving is not as easy as was claimed during the referendum and it is sensible to check if the nation is sure they want to leave.

So what did they vote for exactly since the leave campaign was purposely vauge about what brexit actually meant. Was it efta, EEA, Canada type deal. The point of advertising and propaganda is to influence without the target audience necessarily knowing they have been influenced.

What WERE they voting for then? How did they think that leaving the world’s biggest trading platform, the world’s largest peace project would improve life for majority of people in the UK? Please ask them next time they tell you that they still would vote remain. Thanks.pic.twitter.com/sER6QWeRgX

If they are not stupid then they would know that the referendum was corrupted. They would know that if it had been a binding referendum it would have been voided. If they are not clamouring for a public enquiry and article 50 to be revoked Ergo: .......
