As I prepare return to Westminster next week I want to make it clear to my constituents that I will not be supporting any moves reported in the press to take “no deal” off the table. Anyone who has negotiated anything knows you have to hold your nerve to get the best outcome.

And moreover we will be fine without a deal. We're probably better off with one - it's a nice-to-have - but if we leave without one that isn't the end of the world. And we get to keep the £39 billion too.
