I am one of a small number of MPs who support Brexit in the House of Commons. Virtually none on the Opposition benches support it and they are actively campaigning to stop Brexit. That is why I know that if I voted it down they would exploit this division to reverse.

Thank you for responding & engaging: too few do. Do you not feel that the backstop trap means that this is not, & may never be, Brexit - as it is in fact providing a mechanism to ‘force’ a perpetual remain - and ergo, robbing the people of their right to chose & of their voice?

I would rather not have the backstop but on balance of risks am prepared to accept compared to alternative which is no Brexit. The EU have caved in to give us the backstop - it is cherry picking, and divides their four freedoms. It is uncomfortable for them.
