The only negative aspect to that (sorry to highlight) is less business rates coming in to local councils who now need this income to keep providing services which everyone expects, as central government have cut almost all funding and told councils they must use these rates.

It’s worth remembering that lower tax rates always result in a higher tax take; because more businesses will be created, but I do agree with you broadly and have been making this point vigorously on behalf of
