That was the GP out of hour service and not The Alex A&E or any other hospital service. One has to wonder what will happen to this once the Urgent Treatment Centre is set up.

Not the experience I have in US with medical insurance etc. Usually have to wait 1 to 2 weeks to see equiv of GP and pay ~$1200 PA + $20 per visit for privilege + $5000 via work. NHS is awesome and should be funded properly. Not seen as a source of cash for private enterprise.
