I don’t believe Twitter should be a forum for unkindness or personal attacks so I don’t respond to those tweets. I always respond to Redditch constituents who email rachel.maclean@parliament.uk or call 01527 591334. Most policy queries can’t be covered In a tweet. Thank you.

Quite right re rudeness and personal attacks but a bit of debate would not go amiss especially when you post political comment otherwise it just looks like your using Twitter for PPBs. Just a thought?

Thanks for your thought! It’s usually genuinely a time issue:) just not enough hours in day to work AND keep up with Twitter which is why people can always get a full response in other ways

Unkind? Don’t shoot the messenger! The responses to your earlier tweet were just pointing out the harsh reality. Brexit will cause huge harm to the UK, your constituents will suffer. A small majority voted leave, based on lies, for a nebulous idea. Many changed to remain now.

Apparently it is a forum for trying to hoodwink people into believing the tosh you are writing though. #brexitisdead

I am from The Netherlands and I have one remark about your presupposition that the EU needs UK more than you do us. This is not true. Indeed you will be a third country after 2020. Cut of from the EU.#Brexit is not an issue here at all. It is never mentioned in the newspapers.

Correct. Abuse is not acceptable. Twitter is very useful though for picking up lies from MPs. We know that this is not true. You know that this is not true We know that you know that it is not true. Even the ERG group have given up on the UK now. Naughty! #Brexit #Enquirorypic.twitter.com/gsNLzCpJzZ

Maybe if the UK had actually got a plan. Maybe if at least the cabinet was united. Maybe if the UK negotiated properly and not in incoherent sound bites trying to hold a fragmented party together, then the EU would be able to make a positive response rather than despairing of us.
