    Across the country, hospitals are experiencing similar blood shortages. This means some patients must wait for treatment for things like sickle cell disease, cancer and more.

    An L.A. trauma center took the extraordinary step this week to close its doors for a few hours because of low blood supply, which limits the number of surgeries a hospital can perform.

    Lincoln was enjoying dinner at a friend's house when a child began to choke. He quickly jumped into action to help the child expel the food and breathe again. For this, Lincoln was awarded the Certificate of Merit for his extraordinary action. Way to go, Lincoln! 👏🏿👏🏽👏🏻

    In the past 9 days, we've responded to almost 1,700 home fires. Sadly, the U.S. Fire Administration reports there have been as many as 126 lives lost in fires since the year began. Our hearts are with those who have been affected by these tragedies.

    Volunteers are still on the ground responding to the in Colorado. With help from partners like , we're able to provide wildfire kits to those in need.
