William is driving a van with his brother Michael and another passenger. A federal marshal recognizes the passenger as a fugitive, and so they're stopped, pulled out the car, cuffed and searched. Michael refuses to identify himself, just saying that he is a peaceful man.
As their parent puts it, "He was detained against his will for several hours, because he would not admit to a legal (FICTIONAL) name that he was just a peaceful man."
"They gave him JOHN DOE, booked him, violating his Constitutional Rights taking his mug shot and fingerprints against his will. Then releasing him with a "set-belt ticket" after using excessive force than holding him against his will ('arrest')."
William is held due to all the court dates he skipped out. Turns out he and his parents believe he doesn't need a license: "Williams Mother filed with the court for both case numbers his copyright and related documents, the DEBTOR birth certificate,
"also included with this filing was his rescission from all Contract with the State of OREGON and a specific one sent directly to DMV, which means there was 'no' license to Suspend." This is standard Sovereign Citizen stuff.
William goes on a 11-day hunger strike, passes out. He has this conversation with his lawyer: "During this conversation he said he asked Fishback [his lawyer]: Why is this STATE coming after him so hard? Do they just want to force him to be a 14th Amendment Citizen?
"Attorney Fishback would not answer at first. William explained that he understood that the 14th Amendment was created for the Black Man! and asked Fishback again 'Are you considered a 14th Amendment Citizen? William said he than answered, I'm Not a Black Man!
"William repeated but are you a 14th Amendment Citizen? Attorney Fishback said to him I am a citizen of the United States of America, and than he refused to talk anymore about the citizen status."
William requests a hearing to fire his lawyer, but the court is by now worried about his mental state, and he's transferred to a hospital. He continues to resist everything, even his blood pressure being taken. He tells the doctors he's a political prisoner.

2017 Kinneys stop paying their mortgage. They send this court: "I, by affidavit am a declared living American sovereign standing with Treaty Law of God do accept your offer for value and for the following reasons I am returning your offer, rejected, for discharge and closure:
"You have brought United States corporate law with color outside your jurisdiction and without an international treaty within My republic State as you have no jurisdiction on the land of Oregon;

This doesn't work, and after missing 17 payments, they're foreclosed on in 2018. At this point, the Kinneys start to make an endless series of nonsensical appeals in the courts.

According to The Oregonian, they were originally ordered out of the house in 2018. About 200 people have camped out in front of the Red House, erecting barricades and blocking traffic in the street. Portland police say they've had numerous complaints, including reports of guns and gunshots, from the camp

This looks to be another CHAZ situation or a standoff like Amon Bundy (also sovereign citizens). Loss of life is a real possibility here. At least two people died in Seattle's CHAZ and one in the Bundy standoff
