I completely understand. The young Deaf culture is to be Deaf which is self defining. Its hard to break from this mould. But its rewarding when you do. I stopped defining myself as Deaf many years ago. Im deaf, just as some people have vision impairment. Hair up looks good

To clarify for those who dont know. Deaf is not the same as deaf. A Deaf person defines themselves as deaf and embraces the culture that come with. A deaf person is simply a deaf person much like someone who wears glasses is visually impaired.
