What was your first ever job in the games industry? I’d be interested to see responses from game devs that have been in the industry for a long time, have you switched disciplines?

I treated Production as a side passion when I was at Uni so I searched as a 3D artist. I knew my first job wouldn't be my end, which is why I went to the military company route too. Interviewed and accepted elsewhere as artist but found this PM intern role, jumped at the chance!
It was also the first job where I was made redundant and made a big moving choice for myself, so quite a lot of life experience gained there too.

Oh wow, that’s a lot to go through in your first job. Do you still practice 3D art?

Honestly, no. I did to start with but it turned into more of a side passion, with now the 2D traditional art route as I love this more. I focused on production anyway so I wasn't able to keep up with 3D in my spare time. Also now have imposter syndrome!
