Post-grad depression is serious; the build up, the hype, then the disappointment. Don't drown in your own pressure, dont push people away to "focus on your work". And yes, some people with really awful work but strong connections will get hired over you. Dont give up over it.
This, this, this. Especially on the 'focus on work' which is what I did throughout my entirety of Uni and missed a lot of personal life events because of it and put me in a negative frame of mind with work ethics and burn out.

Considering your year all met me, I thought I had provided a sufficiently "terrible example" :p I considered "burn out" a badge of honour...whilst I stopped talking to Soton friends, Barton, never went to a meet up/never networked and lost a relationship. Stupid post grad aeryn!

Rest assured I never got that from you! We saw you as a talented character artist and a great guy all around. But sometimes you also can't see whether that person is burnt out which doesn't make it any easier! I hope you're good now though
