1/ Ever seen a company where customers loved the product but the company STILL failed? Over 10 years I’ve seen this way too many times. It’s caused me to question whether the importance product market fit is a myth. Check this out 👇

The key to exceptional content is recognizing what is obvious to you, where you have domain expertise, that is not obvious to other people.

"Prematurely scaling and then restarting is hyper painful. The number one reason why startups die is that they run out of money. Cash efficiency is ultimately what matters as you scale a software business...." Chetan Puttagunta, Benchmark Capital.

Lesson I've Learned: In every field I've learned deeply, I realize 90%+ of people are clueless. They imitate, mimic & play act with no idea what's really going on. I didn't believe it until I had the same experience in 3 unrelated fields (h/t ) (exception: MMA)

If you build a truly amazing product that people absolutely love, things like market size, CAC, and retention will sort themselves out. Instead of continuing to optimize CAC or retention, try optimizing product.

City in Belgium halves the number of car journeys through the city, results in 17% increase in new restaurants and halts the decline in local shops. Cars kill the high street. Perverse but seems to be true again and again

People often ask how long I spend on essays. On average about 2 days per printed page. But it varies a lot. "The Refragmentation" () took 3 months, because it required a lot of research, and "Writing, Briefly" () took 67 minutes.

The #1 cause of startup death is making something no one wants. The #2 cause is spending too much. Those two account for so many deaths that I'm not even sure what #3 is. If you merely make something people want and don't spend too much, you're way ahead.
