Transphobic groups pushing for anti-trans "conversion therapy" draw heavily on detrans narratives. Detransition can also be a form of "conversion therapy"/practice, as I know from firsthand experience.
What I went through wasn't formal "conversion therapy" (it was more conversion practices happening in decentralized "support groups") but "conversion therapists" draw on experience likes mine and transphobes use detrans people to argue against CT bans.
I'm willing to share what I know about detransition as a conversion practice, how "conversion therapists" and those promoting anti-trans "conversion therapy" use detrans experiences, etc. I know how damaging these practices are and I don't want anyone to have to go through them.
