At best, it shows ignorance of the dangers of allowing fascists and other far-right people to co-opt your work. At best. It's a sign of how transphobic groups have become increasingly desensitized to connections with the Far Right. Very troubling.
Obviously, a lot of transphobic groups were always right-wing but some of them claimed to be leftist, feminist, etc. More and more they're just putting their transphobia ahead of anything else and linking up with anyone who's against "gender ideology".
I think those are all correct. As time goes on those who whine about us pointing out their connections have no excuses. They put transphobia over anything and foolishly hope it doesn't backfire. Transantagonism and transelimination are the goals but they'll never say it outloud.
