#DetransAwarenessDay is bringing up a lot of hard feelings for me, including a lot of bitterness and cynicism. I've had to stop myself from tweeting out stuff that I decided was too raw or angry to share.

It reminds me of the many regrets I have about my own past detrans activism. There's a lot I wish I'd done differently. Now I want to learn from my past mistakes and do what I can to help detrans people create better resources.https://healthliberationnow.com/2021/03/12/detransition-awareness-day-inconvenient-truths-and-community-building/ …

Replying to @reclaimingtrans
as technically a detransitioner myself it feels so hard to talk about it because i know it will flock hundreds of terfs and radfems to me. i want to advocate for the acceptance of both trans and detrans people, i don't blame trans people or "trans ideology" on my transition.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with that. I know detrans/trans solidarity and cooperation is possible because I've seen it happen in the past. I'm all for working to help detrans people like you have better support and a place in the trans community if you want it.
