#DetransAwarenessDay is bringing up a lot of hard feelings for me, including a lot of bitterness and cynicism. I've had to stop myself from tweeting out stuff that I decided was too raw or angry to share.

It reminds me of the many regrets I have about my own past detrans activism. There's a lot I wish I'd done differently. Now I want to learn from my past mistakes and do what I can to help detrans people create better resources.https://healthliberationnow.com/2021/03/12/detransition-awareness-day-inconvenient-truths-and-community-building/ …

Replying to @reclaimingtrans
Detrans people have been weaponised against trans people so much we've ended up with this divide and that's not a coincidence. Improving trans healthcare and including detrans people in that should be the steps we take. We can help each other and should.

Exactly. I contributed to conflicts between trans and detrans people in the past and now I want to do what I can to repair that damage. Detrans people don't benefit from being used against trans people. Working together makes a lot more sense.
