I’m pissed off at the arrogance of some lesbian feminists who think they know transmasculine people better than we know ourselves and think they know how to "fix" us. They want us to think being a lesbian is better, more real than being transmasculine.
I tried their “solutions”, immersed myself in their culture, and it hurt me deeply. I have to live with that pain and the knowledge that many of the lesbian feminists who made up this bullshit will never admit that they’re wrong, will continue to insist I’m the confused one.
These lesbians think they’re trying to “save lesbians” but they’re just preying on vulnerable transmasculine people. “Female-only spaces”, radical lesbian feminism/culture, etc. is not a "cure" for transmasculinity. We don't need a fucking "cure", there's nothing wrong with us.
There’s nothing wrong with more people coming out as transmasculine or transitioning. We’re not victims of a “social contagion”, we’re targets of lesbian transphobia. We don't need "womyn's spaces". We need space to be ourselves. We need people to respect our self-determination.
It's also a huge presumption for them to think that all transmasculine people are attracted to women. My trans son has only dated gay men since beginning to transition. He isn't interested in either lesbians or straight women.
