I've known plenty of rad fems who think Bilek is bad new but they don't speak out about her because they see themselves as being in a different group than her. They don't see calling her out as their responsibility. They distance themselves from her and think that's good enough.

This is how a lot of rad fems respond to all kinds of crap in the rad fem/gender crit movement. They keep their criticisms mostly private, in their in-group. It's a bullshit response that ends up enabling all kinds of bad behavior, from Bilek to rad fems working with the Right.

Basically. A lot of them think her theories are horseshit but don't speak out about them. I found them when I was still a rad fem and thought they were terrible and antisemitic. Never considered publicly saying so though partially because I put her in another category than me.

Her and her faction were shitty to detrans women. We had beef that went back years. But mostly kept our criticisms in the community. Now I'm not sure why we didn't speak out about the conspiracy theories, especially since we did speak out about rad fems working with the Right.

I'm surprised she was antagonistic towards detrans women. She sure had no problem putting detrans man (and literal ultra-right-wing patriarchal Christian) Walt Heyer on a pedestal.

She didn't like us cuz her and her crowd couldn't control us. They were fine with detrans people they could use. Her and her pal Leirre Keith were nice at first, trying to see if they could use us but when we brushed them off they turned nasty real quick.
