The second book is specifically about online communities and how the author infiltrated them and gathered information. There are lots of parallels between white supremacists and other extreme far-right groups and GC feminists/organized transphobia.
Reading about far-right groups helped me better understand my time in anti-trans feminist groups. There are differences to be sure but there are plenty of similarities in terms of how they recruit, create mythic narratives, how they define in-groups and out-groups, etc.

I agree and once you see them it's impossible to ignore but they can't really do away with them cause they'd have no movement then.

I did some deep recon of MRA groups in the early/mid 10s. They are very similar to GCs in term of indoctrination, the gymnastics used to tie together groups that hate each other, etc.

Yeah, that makes sense. I've also noticed similarities between the groups I was in and MRA groups, which is ironic because I was hanging out with lesbians separatists who thought they were vastly superior to men!
