The idea is that you hook people with free content that appeals to particular interests, using key phrases most likely to be found via search engines and similar partner channels, and keeping the “high value” content you want to make bank on behind a paywall.

Content marketing is a very powerful tool. It wields the power of social influence and media and folds it into sales. Sometimes it has positive impact but can get sketchy fast, especially when getting into conspiracy theory territory.

Legitimate support groups are not going to use this model to advertise or make money. First off, they don’t need to because people join via word of mouth and knowing that it’s a positive, supportive space. And second, it’s sketch!! Support groups are free for a reason y’all
