I am finding some interesting connections between transphobic conspiracy theories and "natural birth", "alternative health", etc subcultures, which tend to be ripe for recruit by other conspiracy theories and far right movements. Also a lot of these people are running scams.

It may be worth considering the influence Pinterest has on this connection. There is definitely a whole pipeline involved.

There’s this awesome book, Push Back, scientifically debunking the natural birth movement and highlighting its racist origins. Recommended

Thank you! I'm still learning about these subcultures so book recs are great. From what I've seen so far, not surprised to hear it has racist origins.

There’s a definite link between transphobes and anti-vaxers

Yes and covid denialism too. Makes sense that they could all go together for some people.

I don’t know if this might help you, but I think the idea of volkisch philosophy does a ton of heavy lifting. There are a lot of people susceptible to a sort of misty idea of traditional/natural human lifestyles and it’s like they’re antagonized by medicine and outlier IDs?

I’ve been watching American propaganda networks using that for a while. It hits quiverful conservatives and tech phobic atheists and all sorts of other groups.
