Some of these people really can't wrap their heads around the fact that someone could believe in their ideology for years and then leave it. It can't be the ideology that's wrong, so there must be something wrong with the person leaving. Gee, wonder why people call you a cult?
I'm not crazy about framing gender crits as a cult because I think that can oversimplify things but when they act like this, I can't really blame people for seeing this kind of behavior as culty.
