I'm pretty sure I saw one of the transphobic psychoanalysts describe it unironically as similar to hysteria when they were talking about social contagion of illnesses and I'm thinking "yes but not the way you think".

Lisa Marchiano, who's a Jungian, has been calling trans youth, especially transmasc youth, hysterical for years now. I believe she claims that teenage girls are prone to hysteria. Really depressing how many supposed feminists eat this shit up.
