I want to use my past experiences to help people understand the rad fem detrans women's community and transphobic feminism but I also know there's only so much that can be learned from one person's story. I'm not sure how much of what is true for me is true for others.

I don't need my life to prove some larger theory. Of course my life fits into the larger whole of reality and I want to understand that as best I can. But I can't understand another person's life and what it means just from knowing my own life.

I try to stay humble when offering my perspectives. I've been contacted by others who find my writing relatable, so I know I'm not totally unique but I don't want to overgeneralize. I want people to have space to tell their own stories, make sense of their own lives.

I can't explain why all people detransition or join transphobic groups. All I can do is talk about my own experiences and what I think they mean. I want to stay open to new information and other people's perspectives. I want to keep learning and listening to other people.
