It's depressing to think of what kind of resources there could for people who detransition if the detrans community wasn't so entangled in transphobic nonsense. So much energy going into transphobia instead of creating resources to help people get on with their lives.
There would be a lot more resources for detrans people if the early detrans women's community had decided to work with trans people rather than against them. It's one of my biggest regrets. We got sucked into ideology and our own personal shit with trans/queer communities...
...we left instead of focusing on helping people get what they need. We fucked up. Which is a shame because a lot of detrans women are very capable people who are good at getting shit done. Things could've gone very differently if we hadn't aligned with transphobic bullshit.
Hating on other people is such a waste of time and energy. I got nothing of lasting value from attacking trans people. It just created more problems for me in the long run. If I had spent my detransition just hanging out with detrans people and helping to build resources...
...I would have few regrets about the experience even though detransitioning didn't work out for me. It also would've been a lot easier figuring my own shit out if the detrans women's community hadn't been so suffused with transphobic ideology.
