"Alternative treatments for gender dysphoria" have practically no research to back them up and people should know that before they try them out. Most of the evidence to support these treatments are anecdotal at best.

I'm very skeptical of any alternative/complementary treatment that isn't backed up by rigorous research. My sister's mother (not my mum) was told her cancer could be cured with Reiki and other non-proven methods. It cost her over $10K and she passed away later, full of regret.

Definitely, that's why I want more research into the "alternative treatments" detrans and other folks are pushing. People need to know that if those treatments will actually help and not be a waste of time and/or $ or even end up hurting them.
