Going to say, trans Twitter has a habit of leaping on this stuff and then trying to recognise patterns everywhere, and maybe it's a good idea to take this on board with enough nuance to not try to apply the lessons to everyone we encounter around detrans stuff.

Very important point. Sure, some of what I experienced is going to hold for other people but not all of it. There are many routes towards radicalization. Different parts of the gender crit/rad fem movement appeal to different kinds of people.

Yeah and some parts of the detrans community are not anti trans at all and are really not well served by being placed in a trans Vs transphobia frame

Partly also, I've seen a lot of really tragic misuses and attempts to capitalise on people defecting from "the other side" and honestly I want the trans community to respond to stuff like this more healthily.
