There really need to be more resources for trans youth with transphobic/gender critical parents. "ROGD parents" are sketchy as hell and getting more organized. We need to counter their organizations but we also need to find ways to support their kids.

I'm not sure how to do that and I don't think one could create useful resources for said trans youth without consulting/working with them. Listening to them and giving them space to tell us what they need seems like a good first step.

I think the key is engaging with parents of kids coming out BEFORE they get captured by the ‘gender critical’ crew.

In some cases that might work but some of these parents are abusive and the core issue is that they want to control their kids. Like they would probably still be treating their kid badly even if their kid wasn't trans.

I'd rather focus my energy helping other trans people survive in a hostile society. Societal transphobia runs deep and is not going to be uprooted any time soon. Trans people of all ages need resources to live as well as possible despite all the bullshit we face.
