Honestly, I almost never see people talk about the risks on going off hormones. I feel like more open conversation about this could have helped me a lot.

Ugh, I'm sorry they're being so dismissive, especially the healthcare professionals. I've met a few people who've gone off t and developed serious complications. Not saying it's common but it does happen and folks deserve healthcare and resources for when it does.
Also pissed there's been little research into the potential health impacts of taking hormones temporarily. People stop for all kinds of reasons and some people start taking them with the intention of stopping once they get the permanent changes they want.

Knowing more about that would help both trans and detrans people. I don't think there are any standards for how to safely stop taking hormones. Feel like that's something we should have access to at this point.

Yep. I think we're all fucked by doctors basically being mostly focused on covering their arses. Drastic hrt issues like the DES scandal in the 70s get dealt with eventually to the extent they affect cis ppl but that's about it.
