(We’ll cover Scroll like anything else; I have no idea what the terms of Vox Media’s deal with Scroll are, and I don’t care. But I get tweets asking to turn off the ads every day, and this is one way to do it that still supports our work.)

I have
@1BlockerApp , its awesome. -
Doesn‘t support their work though.. I don‘t think it‘s right to use ad blockers as watching ads is the only way to pay creators providing free content.

Am I reading this right? I can browse any site without ads with Scroll?

Only partner sites.

I was expecting some kind of "conglomerate" of media doing something like this. I am happy to see that it does not depend on a tech giant like Apple, FB or Google. As user and content manager, I am very interested and I look forward to testing it and knowing more.

So it functionally works as an adblocker, but only for partner sites. Scroll will track time spent on different sites and then allocate that % of your membership to those sites. If I spent 100% time on the Verge, 100% of my membership should go to them. If true, it seems fair?
