Heartbroken to be honing my clinical skills on measles recognition and treatment. This illness is NOT mild, so worried for short and long term effects in my hospital patients. @Voices4Vaccines #VaccinesSaveLives #vaccineswork

Thanks to both of you for what you do. I am named after an aunt who died in childhood on the same day as her sister...pre-vaccine era. My grandmother became ill after caring for her daughters and miscarried another baby. You are doing the Lord's work.

I had measles when I was 16. It was hideous. It is not a mild illness. Neither is the flu. I am currently in the hospital with complications from the flu.

I had measles as a child. As did all my siblings and our friends. We all survived the rash and fever, as undoubtedly everyone else with measles will too! 😀

So much better if you and your friends would have taken a vaccine and be done with it. You don't need to break a leg and tell others to do the same just because you can walk again. Prevention is key. Specially in mange of those who can not walk anymore.
