I love how a man’s like, “I got swallowed by a whale and spit back out!” and everyone’s like, Amazing! And a woman says, “I got raped by a man!” and everyone’s like, Huh. You sure? Where were you? Did you drink? Do you have bruises?

We should not call them “pro life” anymore, as there is no setup to support the life of the parent nor the child, we should call them “pro-forced-birth” only from now on. Amazing that a country with such a, broken, exploitative healthcare system dares try to criminalize abortion.

Breonna Taylor should be celebrating her 28th birthday today, yet not one officer was held accountable for murdering her. That lack of accountability doesn’t change the fact that her life mattered. Her joy mattered. Her dreams mattered. And she should be here celebrating today.

The January 6th attack was a warning. Today, Republicans block a bi-partisan investigation so they can defend the Big Lie & appease insurrectionists. And they've pushed 400+ anti-voter bills + new laws to subvert elections at the state level. We must defend our democracy. Now.

36 years ago today, the Philadelphia police bombed a Black liberation group, killing 11 people, including five children. 36 years ago today, a Black neighborhood was burned to ashes. Just 36 years ago. The fight for Black lives continues.

The remnants of homes smolder following the bombing in 1985. Many of the homes only have a few walls remaining.

Your daily reminder that the U.S. minimum wage would be $33/hour if it had kept pace with Wall Street bonuses. The $7.25 wage is abysmal.

A reminder that victory would be George Floyd being alive. Every day Black Americans worry if they will be next is another day without justice.

suppresses voters, criminalizes compassion & seizes election authority from local + state officials. In 11 years, I never witnessed a massive bill approved at such speed and signed in such desperation. This wasn’t efficiency or principle. This is cowardice. 1/2

26 lives taken in Newtown should have led to change. 9 lives taken in Charleston should have led to change. 17 lives taken in Parkland should have led to change. 10 lives taken in Boulder needs to lead to change. Our hearts cannot break anymore. We need gun control. Now.
