Harriet Tubman us the first that comes to mind. She's just so much more complex and important than usually discussed.
@marthasjones_ 's book is a great one for women's history month.https://www.indiebound.org/book/9781541618619 … -
Harriet Tubman is super complex and I am beyond excited for her to be on the $20!

No. 1 is Frances Perkins. No. 2 is Edrene Cole. She was a Black women from Toledo and one of the biggest education advocates in the city for 30 years. She was an absolutely amazing person (as her obituary demonstrates) and her legacy was/is immense.https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/toledoblade/obituary.aspx?n=edrene-benson-cole&pid=85903427 …

I am doing a pod episode on Perkins later this month, and she’s such a great unsung heroine.

Marie Curie, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Cochran, I could go on....
-
I mean, how could you not want to spend time with Eleanor, right? Marie Curie is also just so fierce and amazing. Love it.
