the sex industry is a vehicle of sexism. if sexism didn't exist as an institution, and if capitalism didn't exist, the sex industry wouldn't either. the short-term goal is to keep women in that industry safe + secure. the long-term goal is the abolition of the sex industry.

its kind of mind-blowing how revolutionary thinking goes out the window for this particular category. i'm assuming it's because sexism has that much hegemonic power. but no worker should have their labor exploited, and women face double-exploitation. women of color, triple.

and further, because of the hegemonic power of sexism, far too many people believe that men are entitled to sex, that it is a *NEED*. that "need" is one constructed through centuries of privilege gained thru oppression of women.

like honestly these people are so concerned with finding a way to preserve prostitution under communism. if youre so concerned about the plight of the incel then form the voluntary pity sex brigade or something idk. just dont make livelihoods depend on it
