So, I figured I'd check these numbers using CNN's exit-poll data, starting with Wisconsin. There were 2,976,150 votes cast for president in Wisconsin in 2016. Clinton lost by 22,748 votes. Stein got 31,072 votes. But 72,915 Wisconsin DEMOCRATS voted for TRUMP. 2/
In Michigan, there were 4,799,284 total votes for president in 2016. Clinton lost by 10,704 votes. Stein got 51,463 votes. But 172,774 Michigan DEMOCRATS voted for TRUMP. 3/
So, once again, even if we bought into this idea that people are "owed" votes (which is complete nonsense and frankly a danger to democracy), it's DEMOCRATS who cost Hillary Clinton the election in Michigan and Wisconsin. 4/5
In reality, it's HILLARY CLINTON who is responsible for losing. Nobody else. Just her. Nobody ever owes anybody a vote. Votes are earned. If you don't earn enough, you lose. Period. Anyone who can't take responsibility for themselves would make a bad president anyway. 5/5
