Spec authors: words mean things; they're not pixie dust to sprinkle on algorithms. If you say "in parallel", you have certain obligations.

Obviously the spec should just be rewritten in Rust! It would be better for performance anyway because Rust is faster than English.

It's not clear to me that Rust is more human-readable than English. ;) But explicit unique ownership might be a good spec-writing tool.
