http://jsfiddle.net/G83mW/14/ is an interesting testcase. Low-overhead try/catch is possible, but not all browsers seem to do it.
@mconnor Note that this is not testing performance of actually throwing an exception, which is also interesting!

@bz_moz having said that, I wonder if chrome code influenced our thinking here, probably not something I'd expect in benchmarks. -
