@cahnory That's because you check for "Firefox" first. Try reversing the order of the checks. ;) - 5 more replies

@bz_moz The substring "ie" does not appear in the UA string of my Firefox nightly. Where do you see it? -
@jruderman Hmm. Mine has "Minefield" in the UA, which contains the string "ie". But maybe that's not the default anymore? - 2 more replies

@bz_moz According to this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms533052(v=vs.85).aspx …, it's "ga", not "ga-ie", so there shouldn't be an issue, no? -
@jwkpiano1 Browsers did "ga_IE" last I checked. And there's still an issue with Firefox nightlies, since the UA of those contains "ie"

@bz_moz can't there be an object for it? So we can do http://navigator.agent.name , navigator.agent.version, etc. (the naming is just an example) -
@floff01 navigator.product exists, so yeah, that could be done if needed. Even better would be making everything object-detectable.

@bz_moz Maybe it'd be a good idea to evangelize MSFT to use some other abbreviation instead, like "IntExp" or sth? /cc @ieThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
