document.getElementById() with no args throws. What should the message start with? "Document.getElementById requires ..."? "Document.prototype.getElementById requires ..."? "Document's getElementById requires ..."? "Document#getElementById requires ..."? Something else?

Let's not, please, especially because in cases when the method is being called via bind() and various such indirect things it wouldn't be able to produce anything useful anyway...

Yes, indeed. Need to think a bit about how implementable that is in practice. It's definitely very hard for Promise rejections that come sometime after the call returned, since we probably don't want to pay the price of always computing this information just in case...
