The entire point is that IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MAN! It is about the Office, the history, American pride and solidarity. Showing RESPECT for the Country that you were LUCKY enough to be born into should be able to be separate from which President or political party is in power.
That’s a pathway to enabling bad behavior. And, also, contrary to what the founding fathers did when building this nation. Go read a history books. Real Americans don’t tolerate tyrants.
