The idea that the "single function" of @DavidAFrench @kmele and @thomaschattwill is to usher in the worst ideologies of the left is preposterous, @realchrisrufopic.twitter.com/5Usk4J4Tza

I did, though it's been awhile. More to the point: those writers serve many functions, and prominent among them are advancing numerous important rebuttals to some of the worst ideologies on the left. French has filed lawsuits against what you would call CRT.

Obviously they serve many functions and have different views, but *the argument they lay out in the NYT op-ed,* in practice, serves a single function. That's the clear point if you read the piece. You're misrepresenting it, which is not your style usually.

Your email does not qualify your observation in that way. Even so qualified, I still find the claim preposterous. Here is a paragraph from that oped:pic.twitter.com/5UOrDn752K

Lmao, "your two-sentence summary doesn't capture the full nuance and I didn't click the link to read your full article, therefore you're wrong"!

Your two-sentence summary is a self-serving gloss that is unfair to its targets and defensible only as mercenary self-promotion, certainly not as conveying an accurate impression to your followers.

If you don't see how David French runs interference for the Left (and that the purpose of the NYT op-ed was to replicate that strategy), I can't help you.

Way to go Chris. When that big populist wave breaks your way, you've got to ride, ride, ride that thing all the way, becoming whatever you have to become in order to stay on the wave. Don't let shame stop you. It hasn't stopped so many. Cable show coming I suspect.

I thought we were talking about the "single function" I disagree with French et al on this, but I don't agree with the divisive approach you take, which seems more akin to the ideological purity demanded by the far left and more about scoring points/fundraising than progress.
