Yeah, I've changed my view, to this extent: I still think there's more technical expertise in the academy but I would worry more today about this being offset by (unacknowledged) ideological bias...

Yes, and it might be that there is a wide range among disciplines, with hard sciences generally being less biased than social sciences. Appreciate your response.
