I would add as a corollary: you are much, much, much likelier to get very sick or die from COVID if unvaxxed than you are to get sick or suffer some adverse effect from taking the vaccine.

In other words: respect your audience and address their concerns head on. Walk through the cost-benefit with them -- both the benefits *and* the costs.
