Some of us are old enough to remember when @DamonLinker’s preferred method of outrage porn for elite libs was that @firstthingsmag and people like @McCormickProf were planning to transform the American regime into a theocracy.https://twitter.com/TheWeek/status/1420393609971503108 …

Critical race theory is also not a "real concern"—and, besides, it has "little connection" to "critical theory"! 😅pic.twitter.com/wYkBRk1QBx

Here's the founder of CRT explaining how the discipline started: "[We] discovered ourselves to be critical theorists who did race and racial justice advocates who did critical theory." Linker is another centrist pose-striker, more concerned with sounding smart than being right.

I know you're monomaniacally fixated on the CRT stuff, but trying to connect this argument to that topic is a bit much, even for you.

The connection is you, Damon. It's the same reflexive thought process: "Anton bad. CRT not bad. Damon look smart." But you can't even get the basic facts right, illustrated by your ridiculous take that "critical theory" and "critical race theory" have "little connection."

You've admitted you labeled the trend "CRT" for propagandistic purposes. But whatever we call it, I have criticized it over and over again in my writing, including here: https://theweek.com/articles/859776/new-york-times-surrenders-left-race … And here: https://theweek.com/politics/1001910/democrats-are-anti-anti-critical-race-theory … But none of this has to do with today's column.

Nope, I didn't develop it for "propagandistic purposes"; I developed it as a method of public persuasion—you know, how you influence policy in a democracy. And, according to the latest polls, we brought awareness from ~0 to 150 million American voters in less than a year.

Propaganda is a form of persuading people. It has its place, and you've been v successful at it. But it isn't my job to aim all my fire at the people you want to rout politically. It's to call out dangerous BS wherever I see it, & there's a lot of dangerous BS on the right, too.
