This is a lie. Almost 20 years ago, the founder of critical race theory, Kimberlé Crenshaw, boasted that "critical race theory" has been "used as interchangeably for race scholarship as Kleenex is used for tissue." It's their own definition; now they are being exposed.https://twitter.com/RepAOC/status/1419793661907324929 …

They’ll just come up with a new name like “critical race equity.” Still, I appreciate the work you are doing.

The racism I have seen as a Hispanic male has always been from the Left. From the teachers who convinced me not to follow my dreams because I will only fail, to the government programs designed to have me fail.

Contextualising the experience of race into accademic vernacular at best removes ecological validity and at worse creates confusion not comprehension. Before CRT we'd concluded race to be a social construct abused by hegemony. That is where it should have ended.

Your receipts aren't making the point you think they are. Possibly why you switched 'has been' (your words) for Crenshaw's 'now' in the first tweet. She's not boasting, she's noting that people *now* (as of 2006) use the term to describe things *other than* its original purpose.

Sentences before, Crenshaw is pretty clear on what the term 'critical race theory' was designed to do & why: "to develop a coherent account of race and the law through the term 'theory.'" I know you don't care; I'm posting for anyone reading w/ an open mind & some integrity.pic.twitter.com/CkgjUA824e

I’m pretty sure this is you, admitting to ginning up a nonsense definition to serve a political agend:https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newyorker.com/news/annals-of-inquiry/how-a-conservative-activist-invented-the-conflict-over-critical-race-theory/amp …
