That is in part one of Rufos strategies and a reason not to engage an activist. Activists by definition are not searching for truth; they are advancing a position.
Respectfully, you are a fellow at a public policy advocacy center and just wrote an oped in the NYT advocating for a very specific political position on a contentious issue. The idea that you are "truth" and I am "activism" (and that they are mutually-exclusive) is nonsense.
